Most of the sardines we have are not smoked but we recently tasted these and loved how delicate the smoke was. Jose Gourmet is finding superb canneries in Portugal and Spain, sometimes helping to develop their own recipes. The packages are adorned with the artwork of Portuguese designer Luis Mendonca.
