Guided Tastings & Private Classes

Mongers' Provisions offers guided tastings for cheese and chocolate. These tastings are educational, interactive and fun! Guided tastings and private cheese board classes work best in groups under 15 people but we can accommodate larger groups as well. We can host these events at the store or we can come to you. We also rent out the store for private events and can accommodate around 25 people. 

Guided Tasting: Taste 4-5 exceptional cheeses, a couple types of charcuterie and a couple unique chocolates. During the tasting, you will learn about what makes these products special. You will also learn about the people behind the products, individuals committed to their craft and a bit about their approach or focus. 

• Class Length: 1.5 hours for the tasting and an additional half hour for questions and shopping. 
• Cost: $50 per person if hosted at our store with a $200 minimum. We can do a private tasting for a couple and simply charge $100 for the tasting and then issue a $100 gift card to meet the minimum charge. You can use the gift card at your convenience. 

Build a Cheese and Charcuterie Board Class: Ever wanted to make your own creation and eat great cheese while doing it? Now's your chance! We take you through the steps to beautify your cheeseboard as you put together a board designed for a treat with 2-3 people or one amazing lunch the next day! We'll talk through the cheeses, charcuterie and accoutrements that work well together. We will also discuss portioning the cheese and working with different shapes to beautify your work. 

• Class Length: 1.5 hours for the intro and board building and an additional half hour for questions and shopping. 
• Cost: $50 per person with an 8 person minimum if hosted at our store.

Private classes work best in the evenings Sunday through Wednesday. We can accommodate other days of the week on a case by case basis.
